Become a Board Member

Thank you for your interest in and desire to be considered for a seat on the Lily House Board of Directors. 

We are now accepting online applications (see the link below) until February 14, 2022. The Board term is a 3-year commitment beginning April 15, 2022 - April 15, 2025.

Members of the Lily House Board devote considerable time and effort to building and sustaining the mission of providing 24/7 hospice-level continuum of care in a peaceful, compassionate, and contemplative home where terminally ill residents can die with dignity and love.

The Lily House is currently seeking individuals from all backgrounds who are dedicated to our mission. We recognize the value in creating a Board of Directors who reflect diverse cultural, economic, and environmental perspectives in our work. Therefore, we do not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, creed, color, ability or disability, national or ethnic origin, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, or self-identification. 

Our volunteer Board is considered a working one with all of the Directors serving on various committees. The time commitment is a minimum of 10 hours per month. 

We are currently looking for prospective candidates who have adequate experience and skills in one or more of the following areas:

• nonprofit structure/organization
• development/fundraising management particularly at the community level
• communications (social media, web tech, writing, graphic design, etc)
• budget and finance
• AND most importantly, those who are enthusiastic, vocal ambassadors that want to invite people to come closer to The Lily House in a host of ways!

Board members are expected to:

• have basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite) including a device with email and audio/video capacity
• commit to a minimum of 10 hours per month
• attend regular monthly board and committee meetings via video-conferencing
• serve on at least one board committee
• make a financial contribution at whatever level they are comfortable

New Board members will be installed at the April 4, 2022 board meeting.
